UPDATE 3:36 p.m.: Tara Acuff has been located and is safe. Detectives with the Clarksville Police Department working in conjunction with the Tennessee Highway Patrol to locate her in Hamilton County.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 44-year-old woman, Tara Acuff, who disappeared while visiting Clarksville.
Acuff is from Terra Haute, Indiana, and was last seen at the Country Inn and Suites, 3075 Wilma Rudolph Blvd., on Sunday at approximately 8:47 a.m.
According to CPD spokesman Scott Beaubien she was wearing an orange dress with a wide-brim hat and was seen on video camera exiting the hotel and getting into what appears to be a smaller, dark color, two-door pickup truck. Beaubien said everything appears that Acuff left of her own free will and was not in distress.
If anyone sees Acuff or knows of her whereabouts, please call 911 so officers can check on her welfare. Anyone with information or additional video footage is asked to please contact Detective Henry at 931-648-0656, ext. 5343.
