CROSSVILLE, Tenn. – A missing woman from Cumberland County was found safe Saturday after officials had reported she had been taken against her will.
WKRN TV reports Layla Aperans, 21, was located and recovered by authorities with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department and Kentucky State Police at a truck stop off I-65 in Elizabethtown, Ky.
The man behind the alleged kidnapping, Douglas Davis, 44 was also taken into custody without incident and arrested.

Authorities were told by a witness that Aperans was taken unwillingly by Davis at about 9 p.m. Thursday night.
Aperans was reunited with her family in Tennessee after she was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
Davis is being held in Hardin County, Ky. where he faces multiple charges of aggravated kidnapping, theft of property and aggravated robbery.
