COOKEVILLE, Tenn.  (CLARKSVILLENOW) – This investigation has been resolved and the girls have been found safe.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an Endangered Child Alert for a 10-month-old and 2-year-old missing from the Cookeville area for nearly one week.

According to police, 10-month-old Rayah Sunshine Smith and two-year-old Marlee Smith were last seen June 7 at the Fall Creek Inn. Officers said the girls are likely with their parents, Haylee and Nicholas Smith. The parents recently lost custody of their children.

A court order had been issued to take physical custody of the girls and place them in protective custody.

Investigators believe they were traveling in a 2010 black Chevy Cobalt with Tennessee registration 5M50X7.
