Mildred Sardis Mickle, age 95, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Gateway Medical Center.
Mildred was born October 19, 1919 in Clarksville, TN, to the late George Sardis and Vallie Baggett Sardis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Winters Mickle.
Mrs. Mickle graduated from Austin Peay Normal College. She was a life-long member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 21 at Trinity Episcopal Church, with The Reverend Dorothy Hartzog officiating. Entombment will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 20, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home.
Mildred is survived by two sons, Ralph (Janice) Mickle of Clarksville, and George Mickle of Nashville; one daughter, Mary Smith of Clarksville; three grandchildren, Hayley Martin (Craig) Mace, Lance Winters Smith, and Megan Sardis (Patrick) Tucker; and five great-grandchildren, Vallie Smith, Sydney Mace, Brody Mace, Caroline Tucker, and Tripp Tucker.
Pallbearers will be Rick Williams, Walker McCutcheon, Don Trotter, Albert Norris, Dan Price, Joseph Carobene, and Bobby Stacker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Altar Guild, c/o Trinity Episcopal Church, 317 Franklin Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
