Mildred Ruth Batey, 79, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Centennial Medical Center.
Mildred was born on June 28, 1934 in Clarksville, TN to the late William Robert Dority and Claytie Davidson Dority. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Batey and son, Terry Allen Batey.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Pastor David Fambrough officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2014 and from noon until the hour of service on Monday, June 30, 2014 at the funeral home.
Mildred was a sales clerk with Montgomery Ward Department Store.
Mildred is survived by three sons, Tommy (Lynn) Batey of Lewisburg, TN, Gary (Betsy) Batey of Arkansas, and Kenneth Batey of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Ruth (Michael) Foster of Clarksville, TN; three brothers, Eugene (Annette) Dority, Donald (Joyce) Dority of Clarksville, TN, and Charles (Bonnie) Dority of Tampa, FL; ten grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
