Milan Lewis age 73 of Clarksville died Monday, November 18, 2013 at his residence. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, November 22,2013 at Woodlawn Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be at Woodlawn Elizabeth Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 4 p.m. Thursday, November 21,2013 at Foston Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church located at 301 Fairview Lane Clarksville,TN.

He was born November 11, 1940 in Clarksville to the late Merritt and Laquel Perkins Lewis, Sr. He was a 1958 graduate of Burt High School. He was a member of Woodlawn Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school superintendent, a Sunday school teacher and a member of the male chorus. He was employed with the Montgomery County Sheriff Office as a Lieutenant for Road Patrol until his retirement in 2002.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory devoted wife Loretta C.Lewis; daughters Vickie(Roger) Wilson Clarksville,TN and Kimberly(Steve) Glenn;sons Gary(Mickey) Lewis Clarksville,TN and Timothy (Angie) Lewis Nashville,TN;sisters Shirley Simpson Indianaplis,IN and Juanita(Alvin) Smith Lakeland,FL;brothers Joseph(Gloria) Lewis Brentwood,TN,Wilber Eugene(Rachel) Lewis,Robert(Rita)Lewis, Orville(Carol) Lewis all of Clarksville,TN;aunts Metlean Singleton, Everlena Kellam, Ola Tate and Addie Dale and eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
