CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) — Girl Scout cookie season in Middle Tennessee will soon close.
Grab those last boxes of Girl Scout cookies from local booth sales today, as cookie season in Middle Tennessee ends Wednesday, March 1.
Through the Girl Scout Cookie Program, girls as young as 5 years old begin learning essential life skills: goal setting, money management, people skills and business ethics. One hundred percent of the net proceeds are reinvested into councils and troops to fund activities and Take Action projects. These projects are led by girls and provide sustainable, long-term impacts on their communities. For this reason, it is important to purchase cookies from girls alone.
In Middle Tennessee, girls have used cookie program revenue to plug back into other local nonprofits. Girls have also used this revenue for community projects such as assembling and handing out bags of essentials for the homeless and income restricted.
Cookie program revenues also make it possible for Middle Tennessee to maintain camps and properties, and reach girls in hard-to-serve areas.
To find where you can get your last boxes of cookies for the season, enter your zip code on the cookie locator website http://www.cookielocator.littlebrownie.com. Cookies are also for sale at Middle Tennessee’s council located on 4522 Granny White Pike, Nashville, TN 37204.
