CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Middle College High School won the “Battle of the Books” competition held Wednesday, April 15 at the Public Library.
These students read 20 novels over the course of this school year and competed by answering 100 varying questions about plot, author, characters, setting, and quotes, among other elements of the books.
The selection included both fiction and non-fiction titles.
Middle College competitors were Diana Gott (Senior and President of the Book Club), Isaac Fulton (Senior), Riley Miller (Junior and Vice-President of the Book Club), and Hannah O’Dell (Junior).
In addition to winning 1st overall, Riley Miller also won the individual top scorer award, missing only two out of 100 questions
