Michael Clyde Groves, 56, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015, at Gateway Medical Center.
Mike was born on September 18, 1959, in Goldsboro, NC to Clyde Groves and the late Carole Vanitvelt Groves.
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Father Christiano Nunes officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Mike was the owner of Vision Realty. He was licensed as a broker in 1991, and had a long and successful real estate career. He was named Realtor of the Year in 2001, President of the Clarksville Association of Realtors in 2000 and 2015, Treasurer of the Clarksville Association of Realtors in 1998 and 2011, Chairman of Strategic Planning in 2014, Chairman of Grievance in 2015, Chairman of the Leadership CAR in 2014, Chairman of the Governmental Affairs/RPAC in 2002 and 2003, and was a member of numerous committees and task forces. Mike holds a GRI Designation, helped revise Bylaws and P&P to open leadership opportunities to newer and younger members, and also taught ethics to new realtors for the past six years. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran, having served twelve years of dedicated service.
Mike is survived by his wife, Melinda Anneken Groves of Clarksville, TN; father, Clyde Groves of Lapeer, MI; two sons, Zachary Michael Groves and Adam Joseph Groves of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Rebecca Hope in Clarksville, TN; two brothers, Mark Groves and David Groves of Lapeer, MI; and two sisters, Susan Prevo and Sandra Groves of Lapeer, MI.
