Michael Allen Cox, age 33, of Springfield, TN formerly of Palmyra passed away October 19, 2023, at Centennial Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was born in Heidelberg, Germany December 23, 1989, the son of Ted and Jennifer Cox. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jack Pillers.
He was a member of Smith Springs Baptist Church and earned his Eagle Scout Badge in 2008 from Troop 546. Michael greatly enjoyed his job as a Electronic Engineer for Designed Conveyor Systems. He enjoyed playing video games with his kids and friends and also was very active in his son’s Cub Scout Pack.
Survivors besides his parents are his loving wife of 12 years, Kristen Cox, one son, Thomas Allen Cox; one daughter, Adalynne Tynsleigh Cox; one brother, Ryan Cox; paternal grandfather, Ted Cox Sr.; paternal grandmother, Linda Cox; maternal grandmother, Margie Pillers.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 12:00 PM October 24, 2023, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Rev. Stan Owens-Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, October 23, 2023, and from 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home.
