NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Metro officer was injured after a huge group of bikers took over Broadway in Downtown Nashville Saturday afternoon.
Video from a News 2 viewer shows bikes and ATVs driving recklessly up and down Broadway, which was full of tourists for Saturday’s SEC tournament games.

Video also showed Metro police trying to stop some of the riders, but one was almost hit and another fell off his motorcycle.
Metro police estimated over 100 people riding dirt bikes, motorcycles, ATVs, and UTVs participated in the illegal ride.

Officials confirmed that Sgt. John Bourque, a 22-year veteran, was dragged by a four-wheeler. The injuries were minor and he is expected to recover.
Another officer received minor injuries that did not require medical attention.
