CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Clarksville police report says the shooting that occurred over the weekend involved members of two local motorcycle clubs.
According to the report, Jarid “J Rod” Burton (28), member of the Rebels Club, and Carl Barber (52), member of the Subdued Few, were arguing outside the Subdued Few Motorcycle Clubhouse at 634 Riverside Dr. Saturday around 6:30 a.m.
It is unclear what the two were arguing about.
Burton allegedly shot Barber in the foot and fled the scene in a pickup truck.
52-year-old Shannon Shaw told police he was behind the building when he heard the shot fired, and said as the suspect was leaving he saw an arm reach out the back window of the vehicle with what looked like a gun. He then heard a pop, so he shot a round back at the vehicle with his weapon.
Barber was transported to Gateway Medical Center for his injuries and Shaw was taken to the police station for questioning.
Burton was detained by officers a short time later at the Rebels Clubhouse at 204 Providence Blvd. He was transported to police headquarters and later arrested ad charged with aggravated assault. His bond was set at $250,000.
