Melva Frances Ward, age 84 of Clarksville passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The Funeral service was at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Shelton officiating. Visitation was from 3 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2014 and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial followed in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Ward was born in Montgomery County on October 16, 1930 to the late James Andrew and Cora Lee Bowers Parker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Ward. She was a Sales Clerk at Joy’s Jewelry and a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Dennis Morrow, Nicky (Rita) Morrow, Karen (David Henry) Harris, Debbie Knight; step-children, Gill and Cheryl; grandchildren, Amy (Brian), John, Nikole (Bill) Booth, Kortnee, Matt, Jennifer, Whittney; great-grandchildren, Arianna, Macyn and Nevaeh.
Family and Friends served as Pallbearers.
