Kendra Stewart has been named the Director of Services and QA at Nia Association.

Kendra obtained her Bachelor of Social Work Degree in 2013 from the University of North Alabama and Master of Public Health with a concentration in Nutrition in 2023. As a Medical Social Worker for nine years, Kendra has a unique competency and passion for individuals with special healthcare needs and disabilities, striving to implement effective engagement and involvement for individuals with disabilities and families.

She has worked with various state departments as a Family Service Worker, Foster Care Director, Mental Health Director, State Program Director, and Managed Care Specialist. Kendra developed two statewide initiatives for individuals with special health care needs: Emergency Alert Decals and Emergency Toolkits. She also serves on several state councils that focus on healthy transitions, supported decision-making, health equity, program design, and youth and family engagement.

Kendra said she looks forward to making effective change in Tennessee through collaborative efforts and engagement at Nia Association.
