DJ Knell has traveled a bit around the Southeast. Originally from Arkansas, he was an iron worker in Florida before deciding to follow his family to Tennessee.
In 2012, he started his career at Nyrstar Clarksville through a temp agency, working in the Purification Department. Since then, he has worked his way up to team leader in the Roaster Department.
“Over the last nine years, it might be dirty work, but Nyrstar has always been family first, and we learn and grow together, and it’s awesome to be a part of that,” Knell said.
Knell is a bit of an adventurer. He’s a motorcycle rider, scuba diver, volunteer firefighter, father and husband.
He and his wife bought their home in Clarksville and are raising one son.
