CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) There are many elderly and disabled people in Clarksville-Montgomery County who need your help to make sure they have food. The local chapter of Meals on Wheels is looking for volunteers to help prepare and deliver food.
Sharon McDaniel, Community Engagement Manager, said the organization is in desperate need of volunteers.
“We need drivers Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until noon with each route taking about an hour of your time,” McDaniel said.
She said Meals on Wheels also needs kitchen help on weekdays from 8 a.m. until noon. Volunteers can participate once a week, once a month, deliver on their lunch break, or whatever works for them. Any help would be accepted and appreciated.
The organization also accepts donations to help provide hot meals for those who are elderly and disabled. Meals on Wheels is part of the Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency (MCHRA) and the United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region.
