CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson was joined by Investigators from the sheriff’s office at a community meeting at Christ Lutheran Church on Kirkwood Road Thursday.

The sheriff talked about the many duties and responsibilities of his office and Investigators shared crime prevention information for County Zones 2 and 3 which covers Sango, Port Royal, South Guthrie, Adams and Hickory Point.

This was one of a number of meetings the sheriff’s office has held around Montgomery County to build stronger connections with citizens and help keep communities safer. Along with offering crime prevention, the sheriff’s office can also get feedback from residents about concerns they have about crime.

One of the local residents, Patrick Digby, talked about what he learned from the meeting. “There’s lots of things we can do to be proactive and not make ourselves victims. “As a member of this community you forget sometimes, everybody’s not on the same page as you. There are people out there that do bad things. Just having some tips and hearing from people that are out there, you can hear some things to help keep you from being a victim,” said Digby.
