CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Montgomery County sheriff’s deputy has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation stemming from his arrest on Friday, Feb. 26

Jason Pike has been charged with stalking.

According to a release from Public Information Officer Sandra Brandon, an investigation by the Clarksville Police Department led to his arrest.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has begun an investigation to determine if further disciplinary action is necessary.

Pike has been an employee of the sheriff’s office since 2008.

According to Pike’s arrest warrant, the female victim told police that he had been harassing her via text message and showing up at different locations around Clarksville.

The victim said she obtained a “No Contact Letter” from an attorney against Pike on Dec. 15, 2015 at a South Second Street office, where Pike reportedly showed up a few minutes later, making her feel uncomfortable.

She said Pike received a copy of the letter in the mail, which he allegedly kept bringing up when she met with him Dec. 19 at O’Charley’s.

The woman said since Jan. 4, Pike had shown up at four different locations where she was in Clarksville, whether by herself or with family. She said she didn’t know how he knew where she was located.

On Feb. 16, the victim allegedly texted Pike and told him to “stop this kind of behavior and go see a doctor.”

Pike is accused of then sending the victim at least 60 text messages to her with no response from the victim.

He also allegedly left gifts on her windshield on three separate occasions.

The victim told police she was concerned for her safety as well as the safety of her family.
