Mid-Cumberland Public Transit is hiring drivers for Montgomery, Stewart and Houston Counties.
Mid-Cumberland Public Transit is a curb-to-curb rural transportation system with flexible schedules to meet the needs of its passengers.
Rides are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to medical appointments.
The organization is a general public provider, equal-opportunity employer, and serves all 12 Middle Tennessee counties. As a non-profit, tax-exempt organization, all donations are tax-deductible.
Fares for rides with the organization are often cheaper than a gallon of gas.
Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency (MCHRA) Community Engagement Manager, Sharon McDaniel, talked about hiring drivers.
“What we’re looking for is people who are caring, people who want to help because a lot of our clients have health issues. So you are really helping your neighbors to be able to live independently,” McDaniel said.
McDaniel added that job positions include benefits like health insurance and retirement.
