May Keel, age 83 of Big Rock, TN passed away Friday, November 6, 2020, at the Tennessee State Veterans Home, Clarksville, TN.
She was born May 4, 1937, in Michigan, daughter of the late Roy and Marjorie Helen Retan. Ms. May was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church and worked as a housekeeper and babysitter for many years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Keel, brother, Roy Retan, Jr., and sisters, Barbara McCown and Ruth Moore.
She is survived by her loving children, Michael Keel (Tracy), Cumberland Furnace, TN, Steven Keel (Elizabeth), Dover, TN, Juanita Kirby, Lebanon, TN, Margie Seeman (Steve), Chandler, AZ, Mary Dominguez, Clarksville, TN, and Cindy Tilson (Danny), Big Rock, TN, brother, Bill Retan, Atlanta, GA, uncle, Earl Goudy, FL, 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Corinth Cemetery, with Rev. William Gray officiating. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions in May’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
