Mattie Tanner, age 84, of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022. Visitation Thursday, September 22, 2022, 12:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. with the family present 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Celebration of Life 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2022, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 930 Mt. Pisgah Rd., Clarksville, TN. Interment at Mt. Pisgah Church Cemetery.
She was born June 4, 1938, in Montgomery Co. to Robert Weakley and Anna Bell Weakley. She was a 1956 graduate of Burt High School. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Tanner, daughter, Jennifer R. Tanner and her parents.
She leaves to cherish her loving memoires sons, James (Sherry) Edwards, Groton, CT, Tony (Angela) Edwards and Phillip Edwards; sister, Mrs. Shirley Keesee, all of Clarksville, TN; brother-in-law, McKinnley Tanner; 22 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
