CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (Clarksvillenow.com) ESPN Clarksville along with Bojangles congratulate Patrick Massoni as the Bojangles APSU Athlete of the Week. Massoni, was instrumental in the Governors nonconference win over Big 12 Conference foe Oklahoma State at Raymond C. Hand Park.
Massoni began the third inning with a double, and wrapped up with a two-run single, his fourth hit of the game, bringing Austin Peay up to 10-0. Massoni’s 6-for-6 outing was the third by a Govs hitter since 1996 and included three doubles while batting in four runs.
Austin Peay is now returning to the Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Championship, their first visit since 2013. The Govs are the number 3 seed in the championship being held in Jackson, Tennessee.
