Mary Lou Lindsey Davis Boren, age 87, went to be with her Lord Thursday, August 26, 2021, at her home, surrounded by family and friends.
Mary Lou was born November 8, 1933, to the late Ervin Lindsey and Beulah Conway Lindsey. She was also preceded in death by Jay Boren and Neb Davis, father of her children; daughters, Jacqueline Davis and Debbie Bryant; brother, Charles Lindsey; and sisters, Jean Elizabeth Young and Margaret Heaton.
Survivors include sons, Billy (Donna), Henry (Jackie), and Charlie (Terry) Davis; son-in-law, Jeff Bryant; daughter of her heart, Carol Wilkie; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Fay Guthrie, Dannie Farmer, Annie Chandler, and Clara Self; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary is known for her love of cooking, especially her pies.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 28, at 12 p.m., at Salem Community Church, with Pastor Nathan Pearson officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, August 28, from 10 a.m. until the hour of service, at the church. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
Mary Lou’s grandsons and great-grandson will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Salem Community Church Memorial Fund, 2269 Seven Mile Ferry Road, Clarksville, TN 37040.
