Mary Ann Horner, 84, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at Grace Healthcare of Clarksville.
Mary was born on March 1, 1932, in Stewart County, TN to the late Fred Herndon and Floy Jones Herndon. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Charlie Ray Boatwright; second husband, Walter Horner; four brothers, Young Herndon, Lloyd Herndon, Fred Herndon, Jr., and Russel Herndon; and two sisters, Martha Mobley and Cozye Knott.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Pastor Greg Plummer officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. and Friday, September 9, 2016, from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Mary was retired from Clarksville Memorial Hospital after 30 years of employment. She will always be remembered as a loving, caring Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother and how she sang the highest praises as she left this world and entered into Heaven. Glory be to Jesus, our soon-coming King!
Mary is survived by two daughters, Martha (Bill) Martis of Clarksville, TN and Reva A. Jackson of Sarasota, FL; brother, Robert (Joan) Herndon; sister, Ruby Nell (Ray) Dodgen; three grandchildren, Seth Jackson, Kristen Martis, and Jon Martis; and five great-grandchildren, Isaac Santana, Elijah Santana, Sierra Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, and Scarlet Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Jon Martis, Seth Jackson, Bill Herndon, Mark Herndon, and Alan Werner.
