Mary Trinkle Crockarell, age 98, died May 9, 2019 at Diversicare of Dover.
She was the daughter of Helen Swift Trinkle and Clyde Clayton Trinkle was born January 30, 1921.
She was a graduate of W.T. Thomas High School in Cumberland City and Austin Peay State University in Clarksville. Mary was a former editor for the Stewart Houston Times and a retired elementary school teacher in Stewart County.
Married to Charles W. Crockarell, Sr., Mary had a son, Charles W. Crockarell, Jr. (Becky) of Jackson, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Benjamin Clayton ‘B.C.’ Trinkle.
She is survived by her son, sisters – Helen Francis ‘Tincy’ Royster and Effie Ida McGregor, grandson – Brian T. Crockarell (Ellen), granddaughter – Beth C. Wolf (Michael), great grandson – Hayes T. Crockarell and great granddaughter – Evelyn B. Crockarell.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. William Gray and Rev. Denise Settle officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service Monday. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Arvil Atkins, Dalton Bagwell, Art Durfee, David Cheatham, Jerry Jones, Mark Markham, Joe Reeves, Ben Trinkle, and Marvin Schultz (deceased).
Honorary pallbearers will be Dunning Cheatham, Bill Durfee, John Durfee, David Littleton, Carl Newberry, Benjamin Trinkle, and Adam Trinkle.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Fort Donelson Memorial United Methodist Church, 420 Church St. Dover, TN 37058.
