Mary Evelyn Hodges Wright, 60, of Lexington, KY, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016, at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN.
Mary was born on February 22, 1956, in Clarksville, TN to Homer L. Hodges and Barbara Mills Hodges.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Stephen Sauls officiating and Patti Tankersley providing the music. Burial will be in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2016, from 1:30 p.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Mary was a Retired Chief Operating Officer for Fayette County Public Schools in Lexington, KY. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lexington, KY.
In addition to her parents, Mary is survived by her husband, Michael W. Wright; son, Andrew B. Browning; daughter, Meredith L. Browning; step-son, Hunter Wright; step-daughter, Rachel Wright (Nick) Harrington; and sister, Patti (Glenn) Tankersley.
Pallbearers will be J.D. Bumpus, Bill Ed Freeman, Lane Tankersley, Landon Tankersley, Laurin Ussery, and Bobby Moore.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 200 W. High Street, Lexington, KY 40507 or a charity of your choice in Mary’s name. Mary had a particular interest in underprivileged children’s charities.
