Mary Carmel Jackson, age 92, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, surrounded by her children.
Mary was born on July 17, 1932, in Easley County, South Carolina to the late Hovey Alonzo Lark and Lillie Mae Alexander. Mary is also preceded in death by her ex-husband, Charles Jackson; sons, Thomas Wayne Jackson, and Gary Alonzo Jackson; brothers, Claude Lark, Charlie Lark, and Jay Martin Lark; sister, Pauline Adams.
Mary is survived by her sons, Steve (Kristie) Jackson and Ray Jackson; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
Mary was a beloved member of Sunnyview Baptist Church who served her community not just through the gospel, but through her years of service at ACME Boots. Mary loved her family and could always be found cooking, studying her Bible and reading.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 1:30 pm in the Chapel of Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home with Pastor Shaun Trescott and Rev. Dan Seely officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm. Burial will follow directly after the service on Tuesday at Mallory Cemetery.
