Marvin Hugh Harris, age 84, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016.
Marvin was born February 17, 1932, in Robertson County, TN, to the late Marvin Woodruff Harris and Elsie Mitchell Harris Hunt. He was also preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Cathy (Ken) Oglesbee.
Mr. Harris was a supervisor at B.F. Goodrich and Caterpillar Tractor Company. He was a member of Stroudsville Church of Christ. Marvin was also a member of the Red River Masonic Lodge #537, in Adams, TN, where he was Past Master with 50 years of service.
Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, December 4, at 12:30 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Bro. Tom Payne and Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, December 3, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, with a masonic service to follow, and Sunday, December 4, from 11:30 AM until the time of service, at the funeral home.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Harris; the mother of his children, Bonnie Lou Harris; son, Randy (Donna) Harris; daughter, Elsie Dean Kennedy; two stepdaughters, Dianne (John) Mullins and Becky (John) Froland; sister, Betty Jean Fyock; eight grandchildren, Kellie (Wes) Hall, Scott Harris, Brittney Kennedy, Melissa Sherman, Bret Oglesbee, Christi (Brian) Gallimore, Michael Tucker, and Ashley (Ben) Heath; thirteen great grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Susie.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
