Mr. Dion Rushing, age 52, of Dover, TN passed away suddenly Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Tennova Medical Center in Clarksville, TN. He was born October 2, 1970, in Clarksville, TN the son of Marvin and Barbara McMillan Rushing. Dion was a graduate of Stewart County High School. Dion enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. His passion was mud racing with his family and friends. Dion never met a stranger and enjoyed passing the time talking and exchanging stories with his buddies.
He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Rushing and granddaughter, Brooklyn Lancaster.
Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving and caring wife he married May 27, 1997, Amy Etherton Rushing; son, Austin Rushing of Dover, TN; Brittany Nichole Rushing (boyfriend, Tyler Stevens) of Clarksville, TN; mother, Barbara Rushing of Dover, TN; sister, Dana Rushing (fiancé, Michael Rimmer) of Dover, TN; nephew, Tyler Rye and faithful pups, Bandit and Duke.
Final arrangements are pending. Visitation and funeral service will be held at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN. Those serving as pallbearers are Stacy Grizzard, John Milliken, Chris Summers, John Wilkerson, Corey Etherton, Jacob Etherton, Tyler Rye and Tyler Stevens. Honorary pallbearers are Dwayne “Scrapper” Rushing, James Compton and Travis Compton.
