Martha Jane Alberd Cobb, 67, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at her residence.
Martha was born on August 12, 1948, in Charlotte, TN to the late Eugene Alberd and Laverne Mitchell Alberd Marshall. She was also preceded in death by her son, Lyndon Cobb; brother, Bobby Alberd; and sister, Diane McMichael.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Jim Graves and Rev. Glenn Hester officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, December 30, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Martha was a secretary for Jim Cobb Enterprises.
Martha is survived by her husband, James “Jim” R. Cobb of Clarksville, TN; son, Randy Cobb of Clarksville, TN; two daughters, Sonia Cobb-Whittier and Kimberly Cobb-Harrison (Charles) of Clarksville, TN; two that she thought of as her children, Jamie Ghent and Billy Young of Clarksville, TN; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Pallbearers will be Richard Perigo, Lewis Bumpus, Bryce Hester, Billy Mauck, and Kevin Davis.
