Rise Partners, an investment group that focuses on shopping centers, hosted a ground breaking on March 15, 2019. The 95,000 square foot shopping center will be divided into five new retail spaces.

There is currently no word yet on what other retailers will move into the space.

“It’s [the Kmart space] going to be divided into five tenant spaces, all of which will be occupied by national retailers. We are 100% leased or committed on the former Kmart building,” Matt Phillips, a founding member of Rise Partners, said. “We have a 9,000 square foot building that is going to replace the former fuel station. We have made a lot progress talking to restaurants to sort of anchor that building. We do have available space in the out parcel next to the restaurant.”

The redevelopment of the property has officially started and is scheduled to be completed in time for holiday shopping.
