Viewing Saturday, June 20, 2020, 10:00 a.m.-12:000 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. at Foston Memorial Chapel. Margie Ruth was born February 16, 1948, in Marianna, AK to Grover Allen, Sr., and Eva Mae Hughes Allen. She departed this life on June 13, 2020, at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, TN.
Her parents, brother, TJ, and sister, Pinch preceded her in death. On November 2, 1965, she united in holy matrimony with C.W. Washpun, and to this union, five children were born: Anthony, Patricia, Vivian, David, and Brenda. Margie loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed writing poetry, cooking, sewing, and shopping. Her unconditional love was given each time she stepped into a room. She was a blessing and angel here on earth to all who loved her, giving all she could until there was no more to give.
She offered words of encouragement to all she met. She will be deeply missed by all her loved ones who are looking forward to seeing her in that great resurrection. Each time we look to the sky with our broken hearts, we will see that beautiful ray of sunshine, reminding us of just how beautiful she was. We will miss that famous dressing, butter roll, and caramel cake. The legacy she leaves behind is one that is irreplaceable.
She leaves to cherish sweet, sweet memories her devoted husband, C.W. Washpun; sons: Anthony (LaTrece) Allen, and David Washpun, all of Clarksville, TN; daughters: Patricia (Harris) Thomas, Brenda Washpun, all of Clarksville, TN and Vivian (Don) Williams, Nolensville, TN; grandchildren: Latoya “Teapot”, Xavier, DJ, Ashley Kaylin, Jervion, Li’l Anthony, Antonia, Aza, Jerome; great-grandchildren: Tristen, Noelle, and Camryn Belle; sisters: Irene (Herrie) Pullom, St. Louis, MO and Betty Brooks, Clarksville, TN; brother, Grover (Sue) Allen, Jr., and a host of family and friends.
