Margaret W. Kloek, 82, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2016 at Signature Healthcare.
Margaret was born in Knoxville, TN December 7, 1933 to Samuel and Clara (Robinson) Warren who both preceded her in death. She was raised in Knoxville, TN with her older sister Jewell Newman and younger sister Mardell Brown (deceased). She believed in hard work, education and meeting one’s potential.
She was voted beauty queen of her graduating class Rule High School 1951. In 1962 she and her family moved to Memphis, TN. After raising four children and working many part-time jobs she enrolled in Memphis State Nursing program (with her daughter) and graduated with honors in 1977. She worked in Memphis as a psychiatric nurse from 1979 until 1995.
She was married to the late Dr. Jan Kloek (psychiatrist). She moved to Clarksville, TN in 2004 until 2012 then returned to Clarksville, TN in 2015 until her death at Signature Healthcare. Her Chihuahua “Angel” was loyally by her side for over 12 years leaving her in 2013. Margaret rescued many of God’s little creatures during her life (many just a breath away from death) including a wild rabbit “Bumper” however she specialized in birds (sparrows, hummingbirds, and doves).
She is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Jan Kloek; son John Garland Kent; survived by her children Margaret (Michael) Bozof, Dr. Stephen (Victoria) Kent, Roy Alexander Kent; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery, Knoxville, TN Saturday April 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM (Eastern Time).
