CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Margaret Jones of Clarksville was inducted into the First Senior Olympics Hall of Fame this week at “The Factory” in Franklin, Tennessee. Jones, who was the only female inductee, served as the Deputy Director for The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department for a number of years. She began her career at Parks & recreation in 1977.
The Senior Olympics in Tennessee started in 1981 and Jones began with the program in 1986 in her favorite sport, golf, in which she has won a medal. She has also served on the Senior Olympics Board of Directors for many years.
