CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Diesel fuel was the problem that caused MAPCO to shut down pumps at several mid-state locations including the one on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. in Clarksville.
Tests by the state Department of Agriculture showed the unleaded pumps contained diesel fuel.
Pumps are up and running again at the Clarksville location as of Thursday morning. MAPCO says the company will pay for any damage and will not face any fines because they shut the pumps off as soon as they knew there was a problem.
MAPCO says customers should call 1-855-469-6272 to file a complaint with them.
The state is also asking anyone concerned with their fuel quality file a formal complaint with them at 1-800-OCTANE1.
