CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – With the possibility of snow Sunday night, followed by several days of lows in the 20s, Manna Manna Café Ministries will open its emergency warming center this weekend, and they need volunteers.
The Refuge Outreach Center at Manna Village, 503 D St., will be open from Sunday, Nov. 29, until Sunday, Dec. 6, according to a news release. Guests can check in beginning at 4 p.m. each evening and will check out each day by 10 a.m. to allow for thorough cleaning due to COVID-19 guidelines.
Volunteers who can sign up for four-hour shifts should visit www.mannacafeministries.com/volunteer to sign up. Along with volunteers, Manna needs tents, sleeping bags, blankets (twin size or larger), hygiene items, bottled water, cleaning supplies and snack items. Items can be dropped off at the center

Snow in the forecast
As for that cold weather, showers are expected Sunday evening, according to the National Weather Service, then a chance of rain possibly mixed with snow showers after midnight. Lows should be in the lower 30s Sunday night, with an 80 percent chance of precipitation.
Monday night through Wednesday night, lows should be in the 20s, with daytime highs around 40.
