Manna Café receives $25,000 from Walmart Foundation

Manna Café Ministries has received a $25,000 contribution to assist with its Health on Wheels program from Walmart.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- Manna Café Ministries has received a $25,000 contribution to assist with its Health on Wheels program.

The grant, which was given to the nonprofit organization through the Walmart Foundation’s State Giving Program, will help Manna Café purchase a new concessions food trailer to provide food to low income residents in the Clarksville community.

“We are grateful for Walmart’s support to better our community,” said Manna Café Founder and CEO Kenny York. “With this grant from Walmart will be able to serve hot breakfast to all of our clients.

The Mission of Manna Café is to creatively and compassionately restore hope and dignity to the broken and poor. Manna Café accomplishes that mission by helping individuals secure the basic needs of food, shelter, and community.

“Walmart is very pleased to support Manna Café Ministries and is committed to helping those who are food insecure in the communities we serve,” said Walmart District Manager Sean Reilly. “Through this grant, we are hopeful the community of Clarksville, Tennessee, will have access to hot, nutritious meals throughout the year.”

The contribution to Manna Café Ministries was made possible through the Walmart Foundation’s Tennessee State Giving Program. Through this program, the Walmart Foundation supports organizations that create opportunities so people can live better. The Walmart Foundation State Giving Program strives to award grants that have a long-lasting, positive impact on communities across the U.S.
