CLARKSVILLE, TN – Manna Cafe Ministries has received $2,400 from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation to help feed neighbors in their time of need. Manna Cafe will use the gift to aid in our food distribution services in Montgomery and Stewart counties.

“It is through the generosity of corporations like Food Lion that Manna Cafe can accomplish its mission of feeding the hungry and working poor in our community,” explains Manna Cafe CEO Vicki York.

Manna Cafe Ministries serves people in need through a soup kitchen, food box distribution and other vital resources. With the help of compassionate and generous organizations, Manna distributes 2.5 million pounds of food per year to area residents. Propelled chiefly by volunteers, Manna Cafe strives to restore hope, dignity, self-reliance, community and the love of God through Jesus Christ.

The Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation is committed to supporting families facing food insecurity across its 10-state footprint. Established in 2001, the foundation provides financial support for programs and organizations dedicated to feeding local neighbors in the communities it serves. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded nearly $17 million in grants.
