CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – As temperatures drop, Manna Café Ministries is requesting winter supplies for the local homeless community.
“Please think of our friends outside and go through your closets this weekend,” said Tanya Johnson and Shelly Cooper, clothing distribution directors. “Being homeless is real. Every homeless person has a name and a story, and everyone deserves warmth and protection during the winter. Thank you for your generosity!”
They are currently in need of the following items to prepare for winter 2020.
- tents
- full-size blankets
- sterno fuel and small propane tanks
- men’s winter attire (thermals, gloves, pants, boots, etc.)
- rain gear (tarps, ponchos)
- sleeping bags
- cold-weather coats (men’s, women’s, and children’s)
- hand warmers
For more than 10 years, Manna Cafe has helped feed Clarksville’s hungry with their mobile pantry and mobile cafe programs as well as regular food distribution at their New Providence Blvd. location.
