CLARKSVILLE, TN – Manna Cafe Ministries is embarking on its 15th annual community-wide food drive to stock its warehouse for the winter months. Presented by 5 Star Media Group and F&M Bank, Combat Hunger is expanding from a one-day event to a nearly one-month collaboration of local businesses, organizations, and an army of individuals working together to fight hunger in Montgomery and Stewart Counties.

Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden has proclaimed October to be Combat Hunger month. From Oct. 1 through Oct. 25, local businesses, organizations and churches are encouraged to hold food drives at their locations. A traveling Championship Belt will be awarded to the business collecting the most pounds of food. Each business will deliver its donations to Manna Cafe on Oct. 25 to be officially weighed. Some area schools are also competing for a Junior Championship Belt.

“The excitement among collection sites is amazing. Local businesses are proving they are not only generous but they love a good competition. It is truly a win-win event for Manna Cafe and the community,” said Vicki York, Manna CEO.

Official collection locations are: Jokers Comedy House, Integrity Roofing, Renzo Gracie, PPG Paint Store, BFS Insurance Group, Electronic Express, Gary Mathews Motors, Fortera Credit Union (all locations), Appleton Harley Davidson, Home Outlet, Regal Cinemas, Orgain Building Supply, MollyBee’s Tees and Embroidery, Tim Short Mitsubishi, Tennova Hospital, Once Upon A Child, Olive Garden, Cup of Kava, Evolve Smoke Shop, Frontier Basement Systems, 5 Star Media Group, Altra Federal Credit Union (all locations), and all Clarksville Fire and Rescue stations.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, Manna Cafe, in conjunction with participating grocery stores throughout Montgomery and Stewart Counties, will host its traditional Combat Hunger food drive. Shoppers will be provided with shopping lists of needed items as they enter stores. Throughout the day, volunteers will collect donations at each store.

Manna Cafe is looking for volunteers to help by serving a two-hour shift between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Oct. 25, at one of the participating grocery stores. To volunteer or make a monetary donation, go to: https://mannacafeministries.org/combat-hunger-2025.
