CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Detectives have identified a suspect they believe is responsible for shooting and paralyzing an 18-year-old in Clarksville.
Mark Broaden Jr., 19, has been arrested and charged with criminal attempted homicide. He turned himself in Friday evening.
Police said Broaden is a former coworker of the victim. The two had been involved in an argument inside a car and Broaden allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot the victim as he tried to flee the vehicle.
In addition to his paralysis, the victim also sustained injuries to his lung, ribs, and liver and is still receiving medical care.
Police are also still trying to locate 20-year-old Melvin Thomas to talk to him about his potential involvement in the shooting.
