CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A fight in the Walmart parking lot on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard resulted in a man being shot in the hand Sunday night.

At about 7:50 p.m., Clarksville Police were called to Walmart, 3050 Wilma Rudolph Blvd. about shots being fired in the parking lot, according to CPD spokesman Scott Beaubien.

Officers found a man who had a grazing gunshot wound to his hand. The preliminary investigation shows he tried to stop two woman who were fighting. Another person grabbed him, and a struggle ensued which resulted in the man’s gun being fired, with him being shot in the hand.

“There is no threat to the public,” Beaubien said. “Officers that are on scene have the firearm in their control and are attempting to determine exactly what transpired, they are interviewing all parties involved.”
