CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A man was shot in the back on Donna Drive Sunday night, just two hours after another shooting on Greenwood Avenue.
At about 6:54 p.m., Clarksville Police responded to a shots fired call in the 400 block of Donna, according to police spokesman Scott Beaubien.
A 61-year-old man was shot in the back and was transported to Tennova Healthcare. His status was unknown as of 7:45 p.m.
Chris Reiber was delivering pizza nearby on Anita Drive when the gunfire started and said he heard a bullet “zip over” the house.
“While waiting for the customer to come to the door, I heard the shots as they happened,” Reiber told Clarksville Now. “I heard between 10 to 14 shots. One came over the houses on Anita Drive. I immediately made sure I was close to the house.”
He urged the customer to move away from the windows.
“Within a couple minutes, tops, I heard the sirens responding,” Reiber said.
Police Sunday night said it was unknown if the shooting on Greenwood Avenue was connected to the Donna Drive shooting.
No further information was released.
