Update, 7:11 p.m.: The man that was shot in the parking lot of N’Quire Bar and Lounge is currently in critical condition, according to Beaubien.
Police say this was not a random act of violence, rather the two individuals knew each other. Detectives on the scene have interviewed several witnesses who were present at the time of the crime. No other details have been released for the time being.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A man was shot in the parking lot of a Riverside Drive nightclub overnight.
At about 2:05 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a shooting in the parking lot of N’Quire Bar and Lounge, 700 N. Riverside Drive, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien.
One person has been shot in the abdomen and was transported to Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville by Montgomery County EMS.
CPD officers and deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office both responded to the scene and collected evidence and spoke to witnesses. Witnesses said several vehicles left the area at a high rate of speed, and detectives are asking for anyone with information on this incident to call 911.
This is an ongoing investigation, and no further information has been released.
