CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. – A man was rescued from his SUV after it was swept into a flooded Cheatham County creek Wednesday morning, according to WKRN News 2.
It happened at Sycamore Creek near Lockertsville Road around 7 a.m.
The Ashland City Fire Chief told News 2 the man was trapped inside the vehicle when they arrived.
Rescue crews used a 5-ton military vehicle, which they backed into the water, to reach him. They then broke out his window to rescue him.
The rushing waters swept the vehicle about 100 yards downstream where the SUV became lodged onto a bridge.
