HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – A man was killed in a single vehicle crash Thursday, Dec. 26 around 6 p.m. on Eagle Way Bypass between Princeton and Cadiz roads in Hopkinsville.
The victim, William Matt Everett (36), was traveling southbound on the bypass at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a rock wall off the shoulder of the road.
Everett was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation, and an autopsy will be performed to determine if alcohol was a factor.
