CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) One man has died and two others were injured in a shooting that shut-down a part of Interstate-24 early Sunday.
The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. at mile marker 19 near the Robertson/Montgomery County line. A witness who lives nearby said he heard 4 or 5 gunshots, followed by police sirens.
According to a report on WKRN, the three men appeared to be in their early 20’s. They were taken to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville where one of them died. There is no information on the condition of the other two victims.
According to Sandra Brandon with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office, MCSO deputies assisted following the initial call. She said the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office is the lead investigative agency and is being assisted by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
