Update, 4:25 p.m. Wednesday: The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Nathanel Keith Wilridge of Clarksville.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A man was shot to death in a house on Chapel Street in New Providence early Tuesday morning.
At about 4:48 a.m., Clarksville Police received a 911 call about a shooting in the residence. Officers arrived to find found a man dead from a gunshot wound, according to CPD spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien.
A witness said that two people came into the house, shot the man, and fled the scene. Homicide detectives with CPD’s Special Operations Unit and members of the Crime Scene Unit are at the scene, and this is an ongoing investigation.
Anyone with information or video cameras that may have captured images of the suspects or anyone else in the area is asked to call 911 immediately.
