CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The suspect in a September 2017 shooting death on Cherry Tree Drive has been indicted by the June Grand Jury on homicide charges.

Police said during a physical fight at the home, 24-year-old (at the time) Tanner Burgess shot the victim, 48-year-old Michael Kehoe.

Burgess was initially charged with aggravated assault but Kehoe died from his injuries two weeks later.

Burgess, now 25, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with first degree felony murder and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony. His bond was set at $500,000.
