SOUTHSIDE, Tenn. – A driver lost control of his vehicle on the evening of Sunday June 16, crashing his car into a Southside family home.
Ted Denny, Public Information Officer of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, says that Christopher Bell, 24, was driving under the influence before he plowed into the 1301 Mount Herman Road residence, injuring himself and startling the three people living there.
Bell then left the scene of the accident as those responding from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and Cunningham Fire Department arrived. Though witnesses were able to provide Bell’s physical description and possible location, deputies conducted a search and were unable to find the suspect.
Bell now faces a warrant for his arrest on charges including 2 counts of assault, DUI, driving on a suspended license, leaving the scene, reckless driving, and a host of other charges pending, according to THP Trooper Wayne Tidwell.
